Mage

Mage Proficiencies

Proficiencies

  • Max Hit Points: 6
  • Hit Points Per Level: 4
  • Saving Throws: Cognitive
  • Weapons: Simple, Ranged, & Caster
  • Armor: Robes, Light, Ring, Cloak
  • Skills & Feat: You gain 6 levels of skill proficiencies, and 1 feat.
  • Spellcasting Focus: Simple, Ranged, & Caster

Spellcasting Stats

  • Spellcasting Modifier (SM): Intelligence (CHA, INT, or WIS)
  • Spellcasting DC (SD): 8 + Proficiency Modifier (PM) + Spellcasting Modifier (SM)
  • Spell List: Arcane

Fighting Stats

  • Fighting Modifier (FM): Dexterity (DEX or STR)
  • Fighting DC (FD): 8 + Proficiency Modifier (PM) + Fighting Modifier (FM)

Tier 1 Mage Features

Tier 1 is the features you will receive from levels 1-5

Mana Regeneration

At 1st level, regenerate 1 spell point at the start of your turn.

Mage's Mantle

At 2nd level, you can create pockets of relative safety within the effects of your spells. When you cast a spell that affects other creatures that you can see, you can choose up to 3 creatures.

The chosen creatures automatically succeed on their saving throws against your spells, and they take half damage on successful saves against your spells, and take no damage if they would normally take half damage on a successful save until the start of your next turn.

Ability Score Increase or Feat

At 4th level, you can choose between the following:


Ability Score Increase:

Increase an ability score by 2, or two ability scores by 1.


Feat:

Choose one feat from the list of feats.

Skill Proficiency

At 5th level, you can choose between the following:


Ability Score Increase: 

Increase an ability score by 2, or two ability scores by 1.


Skill Increase:

You gain proficiency 1 levels of proficiency in 3 skills.

Tier 2 Mage Features

Mystic Reinforcement

At 7th level, upcasting spells costs you 1 less spell point. In addition, when you upcast a spell you gain armor equal to the amount of times you upcasted the spell until the start of your next turn.

Example, if you upcast a spell 3 times you gain 3 armor until the start of your next turn.

Vigorous Fortitude

At 9th level, When you finish a long rest you protect yourself with an arcane shield granting you the following benefits:


  • You can make Cognitive saving throws instead of Reflex saving throws.
  • You gain advantage on Cognitive saving throws.
  • You take no damage on successful saving throws in which you would take half.

Ability Score Increase or Feat

At 10th level, you can choose between the following:


Ability Score Increase:

Increase an ability score by 2, or two ability scores by 1.


Feat:

Choose one feat from the list of feats.

Tier 3 Mage Features

Manawell

At 12th level, whenever you regain spell points regain a number of hit points equal to the spell points regenerated.

Signature Incantations

At 14th level, choose 2 spells of 3rd level or lower from any spell list, you no longer need to spend a spell slot to cast these spells. If you want to upcast the spell, you must expend a spell point as normal.

At 15th level, you can choose between the following:


Ability Score Increase:

Increase an ability score by 2, or two ability scores by 1.


Feat:

Choose one feat from the list of feats.

Tier 4 Mage Features

Spellstone

At 17th level, You can create an enchanted spellstone which is a physical object, usually a gem or a crystal, that can hold up to three spells of your choice.


The creature holding the spellstone can cast any of the stored spells, and each spell can be cast once. You can store another spell in the spellstone using an action and the required spell points.

Ability Score Increase or Feat

At 19th level, you can choose between the following:


Ability Score Increase:

Increase an ability score by 2, or two ability scores by 1.


Feat:

Choose one feat from the list of feats.

Arcane Ascension

At 20th level, the maximum spell point level cap for upcasting is removed for your spells.
