Feats are an additional way to add flavor to your character. At certain level breakpoints you have the option of taking a powerful Ability Score Increase (ASI), or you can opt to take a feat instead.
Feats often provide mechanical advantages such as increasing ability scores, granting extra skills or proficiencies, improving combat abilities, or unlocking unique powers. They can enhance a character's offense or defense, improve their skills or saving throws, grant additional spells or magical abilities, or introduce entirely new mechanics like the ability to use certain weapons or perform specific maneuvers.
When a feature lets you add an additional die, that die is calculated as follows:
FM / SM | Dice Added By Feat |
---|---|
0-3 | 1d4 |
4-6 | 1d6 |
7-9 | 1d8 |
10-12 | 1d10 |
